The unit will familiarize students with the uses of digital and virtual technologies in the identification and management of heritage sites, in the conservation and restoration of heritage places and objects, and in the interpretation of sites and collections. It will expose students to the various technologies currently in use, and explore their potential applications. Particular emphasis will be placed on the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and the concept of virtual reconstruction as a tool of site management, restoration and interpretation. -- Course Website
