The unit aims to develop skills in the techniques of creating, manipulating and interacting with images and sound through the use of special effects and titling. The aim is to understand the range of possible outcomes provided by new and emerging digital production methods such as motion graphics. Topics covered will include strategies for integrating disparate source material, audio and video systems, sampling and sequencing, the nature of computer based and non-computer based outputs.  Exercises in the creation of various digital content will be accompanied by research into the way such disparate content is used across mediums. -- Course Website
