This unit provides an introduction to the practical skills and critical understandings needed to engage in the design, and use of interactive computer systems, as well as the way in which ubiquitous computing and rich sensor-filled environments affect individuals, organizations and society. Students will explore the way in which we respond to the technical and social aspects of these innovations, developing their understanding of both aspects: from techniques in computer graphics, development environments, operating systems and programming languages to communication theory, graphic and industrial design disciplines, linguistics and social sciences. -- Course Website
