Solving real world problems that are set in business, science, humanities or health science contexts. Students will be introduced to strategies for mathematical modelling of real world problems: 1. Identifying the real world problem; 2. Identifying variables and gathering data; 3. Constructing a mathematical model; 4. Solving the problem; 5. Interpreting and verifying the model; 6. Reporting and explaining solutions. Students will be required to complete three projects that successfully indicate the use of these strategies. -- Course Website
