Their components and workflow between Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture Archiving & Communication Systems (PACS) including the necessary communication standards Health Level 7 (HL7) and Digital Imaging & Communication in Medicine (DICOM)). PACS related issues: patient privacy and confidentiality, imaging / data security and implementation.
