The unit looks at concepts including graphs and functions used in economics and finance theory; equation systems and market equilibrium; differential calculus and marginal concepts in economics and finance; unconstrained minimisation and maximisation by economic agents; constrained minimisation and maximisation subject to equality constraints; matrix algebra; difference equations. The usefulness of these concepts and techniques is illustrated by their application to problems in economics and finance. -- Course Website
