This unit provides a critical overview of key theoretical perspectives informing contemporary practice models in child abuse and child protection, and a critical assessment of the Australian context of social, political and cultural contexts of practice. Students apply and evaluate theoretical knowledge and skills for practice with parents and children with particular regard to role, purpose, assessment, decision thinking and decision making. -- Course Website
