This unit provides students with an opportunity to expand their knowledge of ways of working with Aboriginal Australians, and to locate that knowledge within a social work practice framework. Historical and contemporary Aboriginal issues are examined to allow for a broadening of the world views of Aboriginal people. Information provided enables students to increase their understanding and ability to integrate learning with an increased awareness of 'self' in working as culturally competent social workers. -- Course Website
