This unit focuses on pharmacological agents and their influence on exercise prescription, mechanisms of pain and exercise in the management of pain. Other topics include exercise for disabled populations, chronic fatigue syndrome, exercise in the management of types 1 and 2 diabetes and exercise indications for depression and other mental disorders. Management of respiratory disease and haematological conditions are also discussed. Exercise and its relationship to pregnancy, arthritis, management of osteoporosis and indications for cancer patients are explored. -- Course Website
