This unit examines the principles of effective leadership including the importance of vision, the techniques of strategic planning and prioritisation, the art of communication and negotiation, insights into health system complexity and policy development. Leadership principles at the social, organisational and personal levels are explored using examples and case studies of contemporary health problems and services.
