This unit forms part of the Graduate Diploma in Neurological Rehabilitation which provides students with an opportunity to update theoretical knowledge and skills in the neurological rehabilitation of children with acquired central and peripheral neurological disorders. The main focus of the unit is on structured review of the potential for both regeneration and reorganisation following central nervous system mal-development or injury in children and adolescents. Key literature related to neural maturation, neuroplasticity, and the mechanisms and biological basis of central nervous system recovery and neuroimaging is reviewed. -- Course Website
