This unit forms part of the Graduate Diploma in Neurological Rehabilitation which provides students with an opportunity to update theoretical knowledge and skills in the neurological rehabilitation of children with acquired central and peripheral neurological disorders. The main focus of the unit is on a structured review of assessment and treatment of neuromuscular sequelae of prenatal- and childhood-onset CNS disorders, including factors contributing to adaptive morphological change in muscle as well the pathophysiology of abnormal muscle activation. Evidence underpinning interventions for neuromuscular impairments is presented. -- Course Website
