This unit forms part of the Graduate Diploma in Neurological Rehabilitation which provides students with an opportunity to update theoretical knowledge and skills in the neurological rehabilitation of adults with acquired central and peripheral neurological disorders. The main focus of the unit is on a review of the efficacy of therapeutic interventions utilised in neurological rehabilitation, such as constraint induced movement therapy, partial weight support treadmill training and bimanual training, and the evidence that these specific forms of training/activity can contribute to neural plasticity and functional recovery.
