This unit forms part of the Graduate Diploma in Neurological Rehabilitation which provides students with an opportunity to update theoretical knowledge and skills in the physiotherapy rehabilitation of adults with acquired central and peripheral neurological disorders. The three main areas considered are evidence from animal and human experimental studies documenting neural plasticity in response to central or peripheral nervous system injury/insult, the contribution of neuroimaging to mapping plastic changes and experimental evidence utilising these objective measurement tools, and the potential application of this knowledge to specific training paradigms such as 'forced use' utilising... -- Course Website
