This unit provides a comprehensive introduction to psychological approaches to the study of human development across childhood and adolescence. Current theories about the biological, cognitive and contextual factors contributing to development are considered and methods for studying development are reviewed. Topics covered include the development of memory, reasoning and intelligence, and social, emotional and moral development. Research on the development of literacy, numeracy and mathematics is also reviewed. -- Course Website
