The external clinical podiatry practicum units train students in a structured manner in the assessment and treatment of the high-risk foot and/or in elective foot surgical pathologies. Surgical conditions include the correction of digital, metatarsal conditions. The unit also comprises a series of self-directed learning laboratory sessions and tutorials conducted by visiting podiatric surgeons designed to revise the anatomical knowledge of the foot for the trainee podiatric surgeon. Students spend rotations in various relevant hospital departments such as vascular surgery, medical imaging, anaesthesia and infectious diseases. -- Course Website
