This unit provides students with an understanding of the structure of planning systems in Australia, and in particular Western Australia. It introduces students to the legal framework that underpins planning; the role of different tiers of government; the links between planning, the business sector, and non-government organisations; and the complex interplay of social, political and economic processes and planning systems and decision making. -- Course Website
