The first of two placements, students work four days a week over a seven week period in a community pharmacy setting to obtain first-hand experience in most aspects of community pharmacy practice through the completion workbook exercises. Discussion sessions are conducted on the Monday of each week to consider/review expectations and progress and to participate in practical workshops on themes relevant to the practice of pharmacy and provision of primary health care. The experience ends with group discussion to synthesise outcomes and competencies expected from the experience, completion of the workbook requirements and a viva. -- Course Website
