This unit requires students to implement the research project proposed in the research project proposal unit and carry out, evaluate and present a discrete body of applied research relevant to one of the following surgical pathology specialist areas studied in the course (genito-urinary, dermatopathology, gastro-intestinal, hepato-pancreatic, breast, respiratory, haemato-lymphoid, endocrine, soft tissue, bone and neuropathology, head and neck). Techniques and knowledge acquired in prior laboratory practical sessions enable students to carry out a research project that is implemented within the surgical anatomical laboratory setting.
