This unit requires students to implement the research project proposed in the research project proposal unit and carry out, evaluate and present a discrete body of applied research. Techniques and knowledge acquired in prior laboratory practical units enable students to carry out a research project that is implemented within the clinical laboratory setting. The unit includes the design, execution and the written and oral reporting of the research undertaken by students to reinforce the scientific basis of medicine. -- Course Website
