This unit begins with an introduction to subsea technology and an overview of the unit content. The assignment is given to the class on the first night and the assessment method is explained. The core lectures on subsea hardware embrace tree and wellhead systems; subsea structures and manifolds; subsea control systems and umbilicals; flexible flowlines and flexible dynamic risers; tie-in and connection systems; and future subsea technology.
