This research-training unit provides students with the opportunity to develop skills in music-related research methods. Students are introduced to quantitative and qualitative research approaches as they relate to a broad spectrum of music sub-disciplines, including musicology, ethnomusicology, music psychology, music education, composition and performance. As part of the unit, students learn how to employ appropriate methodologies in various research situations, give an oral presentation, write a literature review and submit a research proposal. -- Course Website
