This unit is taken over one semester in the case of full-time students and both parts must be completed to fulfil the requirements of the unit. Part-time students must also start the unit in semester one and complete the unit over two semesters. <br/><br/>The research project in infectious diseases comprises 50 per cent of the second year of the Master of Infectious Diseases. It involves original research by the student under supervision, and is undertaken in a research laboratory in the discipline of Microbiology and Immunology, within PathWest or at other institutions in Australia or overseas.
