This unit provides an in-depth understanding of the major concepts, theories and models of group dynamics and team processes for leaders and managers. Current theories of leading teams, research on group dynamics and performance as well as key skills in managing team facilitation processes are covered. Students learn several facilitation techniques and conduct actual facilitation of a work group as an assignment. Team roles, individual performance and team-based rewards are also covered. Students also examine processes that enhance team effectiveness and performance and implementation of self-managed teams. An integrated model of teams is provided. -- Course Website
