This unit examines the law relating to limitation and notice of actions in civil proceedings, with particular reference to contract and quasi-contract, actions in negligence for personal injury, death, property damage and economic loss, other tort actions, real property and equitable claims. The unit focuses on general common law principles and the statute law of Western Australia as contained in the Limitation Act 1935 (WA) and the Limitation Act 2005 (WA), but also examines legislative provisions in other jurisdictions and other reform alternatives. -- Course Website
