This unit presents a general review of the legal arrangements and institutions regulating relations between employers and employees (as individuals and/or union members) in the workplace. It involves an examination of the role of the state and federal industrial relations commissions in the making of awards and the certification of enterprise agreements which determine the wages and conditions of work of Australian employees.
