This unit offers students an opportunity to study Italian language and culture in Italy. It consists of two components—one held at The University of Western Australia (previously weighted at 3 credit points) and one held in Italy in July during the mid-semester break (previously weighted at 3 credit points). The first component consists of work done before the departure—students prepare for the in-country experience by developing their language proficiency and learning about Italian university life and aspects of intercultural communication.
