This unit provides students with the opportunity to consolidate and apply the teaching and learning covered through the Advanced Diploma in Indigenous Legal Studies course. It enables the student to link theory to practice through research and case study analysis. The case studies would focus on particular applied themes of practice or law reform such as issues affecting Indigneous people. Topics includes analyse and recommending proposals for constitutional recognition, and evaluating methods of alternative dispute resolution or customary law recognition in a particular setting.
