This unit is taken over two semesters and parts 1 and 2 must be completed to fulfil the requirements of the unit.<br/><br/>The psychiatry pre-internship involves a five-week clinical attachment and a series of lectures/tutorials addressing important clinical topics. Students are given the opportunity to work as pre-interns in multidisciplinary teams at hospital and community mental health services. Students are expected to consolidate knowledge and skills in psychiatry expected at the level of a general practitioner. Emphasis is given to instruction and participation in the management of psychiatric emergency. -- Course Website
