This unit is taken over two semesters and parts 1 and 2 must be completed to fulfil the requirements of the unit.<br/><br/>The unit allows students to consider in depth a particular health problem or illness over time. This involves following a number of patients with a particular type of problem for about six months. Students are allocated a residential facility setting and two patients with chronic problems (e.g. arthritis, asthma, diabetes, mental health problems). Close interaction with other disciplines involved in the care of patients is emphasised.
