This unit is taken over two semesters and parts 1 and 2 must be completed to fulfil the requirements of the unit.

The unit acts as a bridge between the Fundamentals of Clinical Dentistry units in Levels 1, 2 and 3 and Integrated Dental Practice in Level 5. It provides students with an introduction to integrating and synthesising information from other units and early clinical experiences.

The Dental Implantology module provides the historical, biological and scientific bases for the clinical use of dental implants. Students simulate 'treatment' of a variety of both partially dentate and edentulous patients. -- Course Website
