This unit is taken over two semesters and Parts 1 and 2 must be completed to fulfil the requirements of the unit.<br/><br/>Endodontics is the branch of dentistry that is concerned with the morphology, physiology and pathology of the dental pulp and the peri-radicular tissues. As such, it includes the field of dental traumatology. Its study and practice encompass the basic clinical sciences including the biology of the normal pulp, and the causes, diagnosis, prevention and management of diseases and injuries of the pulp and the associated peri-radicular conditions.
