The physical nature of the atmosphere of the Earth and its interaction with land and water are cornerstones of environmental science. Based on fundamental atmospheric processes the dynamics of climate and aspects of weather are explained with both short- and long-term aspects of global climate change. Students are introduced to the information and data used in developing synoptic charts. Climate dynamics are covered through the interpretation of global circulation model results which leads to a critical analysis of climate change scenarios. -- Course Website
