This unit introduces students to biomedical engineering and covers biomedical instrumentation and medical imaging. It includes an introduction to optics through electromagnetic studies and wave and ray optics as well as lasers, tissue optics, microscopy and optical coherence tomography. In addition, students are introduced to software development for medical applications. -- Course Website
