This unit covers modelling—state-space equations [multiple input and multiple output (MIMO), continuous and discrete], linearisation; transfer functions and similarity transformations; some standard useful realisations (canonical forms); discretisation of state-space equations; introduction to sampled-data systems; analysis—Lyapunov stability, controllability, observability and minimality; effects of discretisation on stability, controllability and observability; design-controller and observer design concepts—pole-placement techniques. -- Course Website
