This unit can be taken full-time or part-time. The thesis should demonstrate knowledge in a chosen area of study, the associated research methods and scholarly reporting. Normally the thesis, of 20,000 to 25,000 words, should provide evidence of a general knowledge of the area through a literature review and may make a contribution to the area of study.<br/><br/>A research proposal must be submitted with the written consent of the supervisor to the Faculty of Education Research Committee within three months of the satisfactory completion of the coursework component.
