This unit examines concepts of the school as a learning organisation reflecting internal and external expectations. The impact of changing expectations (local and global) on educational organisations is viewed through different frames. Reform, restructure and change are viewed as realignment and students explore diverse school reactions to new external expectations and their subsequent effect on childrens' learning. The process of alignment with respect to the elements of school organisation are examined. The challenges in aligning the physical, human and social elements are explored with further focus on leading human and social realignment for improved learning and achievement. -- Course Website
