This unit focuses on developing knowledge and skills for reflective music education practitioners commensurate with National Professional Standards for Teachers at graduate levels for 'Knowing the content and how to teach it'—critical and applied approaches to developmental principles, philosophies, pedagogies, planning, programming and assessment of music teaching and learning. It builds upon the wealth of musical skills and experiences that students already possess and helps students apply to them to the teaching of music in the classroom (with a special emphasis on Years 7 to 12), studio, extra-curricular and community settings. -- Course Website
