This unit covers foundational knowledge and skills for reflective music education practitioners—an introduction to the philosophy, aims and objectives of music education; developmental principles, pedagogies and teaching methods; music curriculum development, planning and programming; music education repertoires, resources and technologies. It builds upon the wealth of musical skills and experiences that students bring to the course following extensive music studies at undergraduate levels and helps students apply them to the teaching of music in classroom (with a special emphasis on K-7), studio, extra-curricular and community settings. -- Course Website
