In preparation for their first professional practice, students (except students enrolled in the Bachelor of Education combined course) attend lectures and workshops to introduce them to diverse nature of teachers work and the competencies required for classroom teaching and management. Students undertake a six-week school placement in their major curriculum area. They have an opportunity to use a variety of techniques and approaches in a classroom context under the guidance of a mentor teacher in the school.
