This unit provides an introduction to some of the issues affecting Aboriginal people within the Australian/Western Australian education system. The unit begins with an examination of the historical relationship between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal Australia and the impact of governmental policies and practices on all aspects of life and in particular education.
