This unit develops the advanced economic analysis needed to understand and evaluate policies across a range of public policy issues. The unit establishes the relevant theory for a range of issues that usually include justification for public policy, market and non-market approaches to externalities, inequality and distribution, optimal income and commodity taxation, monopoly price regulation and asymmetric information. -- Course Website
