The analysis of sedimentary basin fills is typically undertaken to interpret Earth history and/or for the exploration of basin-hosted resources such as petroleum reservoirs, groundwater aquifers and mineral deposits. This unit takes a basin-scale to regional approach to analysing basin fills through application of established sedimentological–stratigraphic and geophysical techniques. Emphasis is placed on development of practical skills and on integration of geological and geophysical data. -- Course Website
