This unit considers program development, design and assessment for dental education. Students are shown the methodology of selection of content, objectives, materials, assessment techniques, constraints within dental school settings and evaluation procedures. The evaluation of needs and occupational analysis are described. Development and implementation of programs, which take into consideration the needs of learners with special challenges such as students with English as a second language and those with special needs, are considered in the dental school context. The collaborative processes of design, development evaluation and analysis of a teaching and learning program are demonstrated. -- Course Website
