This is a core unit covering the foundations of oral pathology. It provides an understanding of disease processes in the teeth, face and jaws, and their clinical manifestation. Students are educated in clinical presentations and progression of oral disease and relate the information to underlying pathological processes in order to understand the biological basis for the management of such conditions. Emphasis is placed on the clinical presentation and progression of oral disease in order to provide students with the basic principles and methodologies for its diagnosis.<br/><br/>The dental radiography section of this unit covers the properties of ionising radiation, production of X-rays,... -- Course Website
