This unit provides an introduction to the theory and methodology of Classical Archaeology and a survey of the archaeology of the Roman World from Britain to the Red Sea. It ranges widely, encompassing all the physical remains from landscapes through inscriptions to the finest jewellery; from temples through coins to food refuse.
