Students demonstrate ability to design and simulate components of gas production systems; design and simulate unit operations in gas process plants; and understand gas markets and emerging issues for natural gas production and use. Topics include thermodynamics for gas processing; gas production; gas gathering and compression; pipe calculations; dew point control; hydrate control; dehydration; acid gas treatment; gas markets and economics; unconventional gas sources and processing. -- Course Website
