This unit reviews the fundamental basic physics, chemistry and physical chemistry principles, thermodynamics and kinetics, with specific relevance to minerals processing technologies. This is followed by the topics critically important such as ore comminution, ore concentration, concentrate treatment principles, technologies, and equipment design.
