The primary goal of this four-week in-country unit is to provide cultural and linguistic immersion for students who are studying or going to study Chinese at UWA. The unit comprises (1) 60 hours of Chinese language training in listening, speaking, reading and writing skills; (2) two cultural trips in local areas in Taiwan; (3) five cultural workshops including tea ceremony, Peking opera, calligraphy etc.; and (4) an individual-based Chinese native-speaking language exchange partner as a life guide during their stay in Tainan, Taiwan.
