This unit is compulsory for all students taking the physical/analytical specialisation of the Chemistry major. It builds on the chemical principles and techniques introduced in CHEM2002 Physical and Analytical Chemistry, covering a number of advanced topics concerned with spectroscopic determination of molecular structure. Topics include chemical applications of lasers, molecular spectroscopy, electronic structure of molecules, photochemistry and diffraction. -- Course Website
